Dear HUISA members,
As April started, and the roads of Sapporo become walkable again, we, the members of HUISA executive committee 2021-22, would like to thank each and every one of you for supporting HUISA activities, and being part of our great community on the social media networks.
As it happened in 2020, throughout 2021 it was again difficult to organize our traditional events, such as the Summer and Autumn trips, the Sports Festival and the Culture Festival. We managed to organize the International Food Festival in collaboration with the Hokkaido University Festival Executive Committee, but due to several constraints and timely issues, we could not serve the delicious international food you always look forward to.
It goes without saying, but we are very thankful to all international students, their families, companies, different private organizations, as well as the University administration, for believing in our organization and in our efforts to bring international students together and create more interaction possibilities among international students and the people of Sapporo and Hokkaido. Without your support, we could not have been a truly representative organization of the international students at our university.
In 2022, we are now able to see more possibilities for events and we are looking forward to showing you the beauty of Hokkaido’s seasons, and help you enjoy your life in Japan to its fullest!
As the new academic year has just started, the executive committee members of HUISA will step down for a new group of members to keep up with leading the international student community of Hokkaido University.
Currently we are recruiting the positions below:
1. Vice President
2. General Secretary
3. Vice Secretary
4. Public Relations Officer
5. Secretary for Social Welfare and Culture
6. Secretary for Sports and Recreation
7. Specially appointed volunteer (Japanese nationality only)
Note that for the positions of Vice-president, General Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and Public Relations Officer, a good command of Japanese and English is required. For Public Relations Officer, a basic knowledge of graphic design is not mandatory, but would be helpful.

Note that all current international students are eligible to run for any position, except for the “Specially appointed volunteer”.
Deadline for submission of Nomination Form is on April 15th, 2022 (Friday) at 23:59. This deadline will be strictly observed.
