Dear HUISA members,
The last months were very difficult due to the Coronavirus, which resulted in the cancellation of many events, conferences etc… We hope that all International Students of Hokkaido University are safe and healthy !
Now, the situation is getting better, however, we still need to be careful and respect the social distancing and hygiene measures. Our kind collaborators ERIS and FUJIKEN Ldt. donated overall 2500masks to International students to prevent from the spreading of the virus. We would like to kindly thank them !
We met with the president of ERIS (Economic Relations and International Students Association) Mr Yoshida on May 16th to prepare the parcels and send the donated masks to the people who applied. These circumstances are difficult for everyone, and having their support is a great chance.
Then we were contacted by FUJIKEN, one of the biggest construction companies in Hokkaido, who were also willing to provide International Students with masks. We met the chaiman Mr Kudo on May 29th and sent the parcels after a second application form we shared.
We would like to thank them for their very kind and helpful collaboration !
We hope that things will get back to normal soon, and that HUISA gets back to organizing intercultural events !
Cheers !!
