HUISA travels to Furano and Shikisai-no-oka

The warm weather and comfortable breeze of Hokkaido’s summer was enjoyed by some of the members of the international student community of Hokkaido University last August 8, 2015 during a trip to Furano (富良野) and Shikisai-no-oka (四季彩の丘). Both destinations are famous for their expansive flowerbeds, which are quite a sight to behold and are indeed picture-perfect.

In Tomita Farm, Furano, all of the 45 participants were not only welcomed by a good sunny weather and the beautiful lavenders matting the grounds but also got the opportunity to try and enjoy one of the Tomita Farm’s famous delicacy─a lavender-flavored ice cream!

Meanwhile, in Shikisai-no-oka, more fun and amusing moments awaited the participants…

Indeed, it was a long and a bit tiring day but it’s all definitely worthwhile!

This summer trip was organized by the Hokkaido University Student Association (HUISA) in collaboration with the university’s Office of International Affairs. This summer trip is part of the seasonal trip organized by HUISA for the benefit of the international student community.
